High-Tech Art Installations Sales Rep
BREAKFAST is a world-renowned studio known for conceiving, designing, and developing some of the most high-tech kinetic art installations in the world. Our work has found its way into dozens of museums, lobbies, stadiums and public spaces. Now, more than ever, we look to push our capabilities to new heights both in design, engineering, and its impact on the world.
All of our installations and products have been produced with no more than 7 full-time employees, as we believe in operating as a small, nimble, and diversely-talented team. While we plan to expand incrementally, we aim to only invite the best of the best to our small table.
TITLE: High-Tech Art Installations Sales Rep
LOCATION: Brooklyn, NY (DUMBO)
WORKING HOURS: Full Time, Freelance to Full Time.
We are on a search for someone who is able to truly understand, communicate, and sell others on how and why we do what we do. You would be the first and main contact most people would interact with at BREAKFAST, and as such would need to be able to sell and/or explain the intricacies of our work and products. The role requires the ability to speak eloquently to various high profile individuals and companies. We receive top-class inquiries from all types of industries and individuals from every corner of the globe. The ability to speak to BREAKFAST in the appropriate way for each given lead is crucial.
The initial focus of the role would be to sell Flip-Disc Displays and Installations to interested buyers who reach out via our site, while also keeping an eye out for bigger custom-work opportunities. The role requires a keen instinct to know when to push an existing product/piece versus pivoting to a custom commission and looping in our Head of Design.
You must have a strong desire to learn the technical and design aspects to all our work, past and present. The only way to sell our pieces is to be able to talk intelligently to how they operate, how they’re made, and what the creative process looks like, beginning to end.
You would report directly to the Co-Founders, working closest with Zolty, a Co-Founder and the Head of Design and Creative.
Experience and Skills
4+ years of relevant experience selling with a history of crafting strategic deals.
Incredibly personable and hyper-organized.
Strong negotiating skills.
Experience using a CRM to track leads and manage time efficiently.
A creative and entrepreneurial mindset, always looking for ways to improve our sales process and overall business.
Experience selling to high profile clients and brands.
Strong skills using spreadsheet applications.
Comfort and confidence in working with a very small team.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Previous experience selling technical products/artwork.
