BREAKFAST is a world renowned studio known for conceiving, designing, and developing some of the most high-tech kinetic art installations in the world. TITLE: Project Manager
LOCATION: Brooklyn, NY (DUMBO)
WORKING HOURS: Full Time, Freelance to Full Time.
We’re looking to fill a crucial PM role here at BREAKFAST that is integral to our company operating at its greatest potential. This person would be responsible for ensuring a smooth process (for our team and our customers) from the design and build phase through to the final installation of a given work. You would be the main contact with the clients/customers after a sale has been made, and responsible for gathering and delivering all information to and from them to keep each project on track and up to date. You would own our internal timelines, and should be the first one to uncover any potential timeline issues that could present themselves down the line.
We’re looking for someone who has a passion for technology. One who seeks to understand the inner workings of machines like those we create. Equally, we’re after someone who is hyper-organized and obsessed with having a clear vision of what things will look like 10 steps ahead.
The focus of the job to start will be on Flip-Discs and Brixels installations. You would work with the client and their contractors to make sure the installation area is prepped to our spec. You would meet daily with the appropriate team members to ensure we are on track to hit each of our milestones. You would also be responsible for setting up the shipping, travel, rental of equipment, etc needed by the team for a given installation. Ideally, you are the type to who’s always ready to roll up their sleeves and jump in wherever help is needed.
This hire will report directly to the Co-Founders of BREAKFAST, and work closely with our entire team.
Experience and Skills
4+ years of relevant project management experience.
Prior experience managing hardware production and installation.
Incredibly personable and hyper organized.
A creative and entrepreneurial mindset, always looking for ways to improve our sales process and overall business.
Strong skills using spreadsheet and project management applications.
Comfort and confidence working with a very small team.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
